Watching God Open Doors

Dear Friends,

As we look back over this past year, we are so grateful for the ways God has opened doors, brought people together, and laid foundations for the future of Project Eleven Five.

In Bolivia, we have begun sponsoring Elias as he studies to earn his prosthetics degree through Don Bosco University in El Salvador. Almost all of his coursework can be completed online from Bolivia. We have also purchased the equipment needed to establish a new prosthetic clinic with our partners at Paso a Paso. We are excited to see how God will use this clinic—and Elias—to serve amputees in Bolivia for years to come.

Here in Kenya, God recently gave us an incredible opportunity to serve at a school for children with disabilities. We provided 85 wheelchairs, distributed books and Bibles, and evaluated 25 amputees. Thirteen of them have now been cast for new prosthetic legs.

One thing broke my heart: the crowd of people we had to turn away because we simply did not have enough supplies.

But even in that, I was reminded of the opportunity we have to watch God do more than we ever imagined possible. We know we will return, and in the meantime, our partners at AIC Litein Mission Hospital will continue serving these families.

One of the greatest highlights of our time at the school happened when Dr. Terer, CEO of AIC Litein Mission Hospital, took time to speak with one of the men we were serving. Through that conversation, the man placed his faith in Jesus Christ.

We want to see people walk again, but even more, we want them to know the hope of Jesus.

Throughout this past year, we have also been blessed to give away boxes of Christian books and Bibles to children through the Hope Fund, the pediatric ward at Litein Hospital, a local village church, and the school for children with disabilities. It is such a joy to watch their excitement as they receive these stories!

The Hope in Motion Center also continues to grow and expand. Through the Hope Fund, 125 children with cerebral palsy have now received care and support.

Thank you for praying, giving, and being part of what God is doing. Please continue to pray for Elias, the new clinic in Bolivia, the patients waiting for their prosthetic legs in Kenya, and for God to continue opening hearts to the Gospel.

We are so grateful to be on this journey with you!

Help us continue this work!

These boys had huge smiles while waiting to be fitted for a new wheelchair, they loved their new books!

New books and Bibles and new wheelchairs!

Above, on Sunday in the village church, Dr./Pastor Terer and Danée share the story of the Gospel through the colors of a soccer ball—and teach members of the church how they can use it to share the story with others.
